About the Author
Pat Kearney is a native of Butte. He graduated from Butte Central High School and later Montana State University. After  working at television stations in Great Falls and Billings, Kearney returned home to join the KXLF-TV news staff in 1981.  Pat's most recent book is "Butte Voices: Mining, Neighborhoods, People, " published in 1998. He published his first book,  Butte's Big Game, in 1989. He published Miracle on the East Ridge in 1990 and Butte's Pride - The Columbia Gardens in  1994.
